"Music and music scheduling on P3"
Computer-selection of music on the radio. Denmarks Radio channel P3 and most local radio stations use a computer together with Music Master software to support them in their choice of music. This phenomenon is called Music Scheduling and has suffered a lot of criticism at the hands of the press. Mik Aidt explains: - why the larger radio stations use radio-scheduling in all their prime-time programmes, what P3 will and wont play and the reasoning behind it.
Mik Aid studied Journalism, specialising in TV and World Politics, He has travelled all over Africa several times, which led to: - slide-shows, music, reports and articles about his travels. He started as part-time editor for the programme World Music, which he is still involved in, before taking over as Head-editor of music for P3. At the same time he has himself designed and taught in the design of web-sites, taught music editing and produced several jingles, to name a few.
