This 39 year old Brit. has worked as an engineer and producer since 1979. He began his career in the Utopia Studio in London, where Sweet, and Bay City Roller, etc recorded their first albums in the 70's.

Among others, Pete Smith has produced for Del Amitri, Joe Cocker, Squeeze, Sting (The Dream of the Blue Turtles, 1985), Sam Brown, Curiosity Killed the Cat and Gary Moore.

At present he is producing up-tempo guitar-pop with the Scottish Band Supernaturals. The album will be released in November on the Food-Label (also: - Blur and DubStar)

With the help of relevant sound-bites which he will perform, Pete Smith will explain the process he uses while producing. He will be interviewed by his countryman Christian Ulf-Hansen from BMI in London as an integral part of the lecture.
